Service Description
Our Beginner Motivational Interviewing Training introduces Motivational Interviewing basics through interactive learning in a supportive environment. This six-hour course covers the Spirit of MI and the OARS framework—Open questions, Affirming, Reflecting, and Summarizing. We will examine examples of effective and weak MI practice, drawing connections between each and their ability to cultivate Change Talk. Participants will actively apply their understandings in opportunities for scenario-based roleplay, allowing them to build rapport, navigate tough conversations, and inspire change with practical tools that strengthen engagement and reduce resistance across healthcare, education, leadership, and counseling settings.
Cancellation Policy
Our Preplanned Trainings are priced at a flat rate ($250/hr) of active facilitation time. Prices shown are per session, not per participant. That means that a 2-hour Preplanned Training for 30 participants at your organization would cost $500 plus any applicable taxes. Please note that while we can accommodate large audiences for virtual trainings, in-person trainings may be capped based on limitations of your space. For in-person trainings, we recommend you schedule a free consultation. Cancellations for Preplanned Trainings must be made in writing at least 48 hours prior to the scheduled time and date of the service. With less than 48 hours' notice, refunds will not be given for cancellations of in-person or virtual Preplanned Trainings. Refunds will be issued for cancellations received 48 hours or more in advance of the scheduled time and date of the service.
